Where is the office located, and how to do I get there?

The simple answer is that our address is

2029 Clifford Street Fort Myers, FL 33901

The answer that will help you… we are a little hard to find if you don’t know we’re there! We often hear of the frequent U-turns out front from missing our location. We’re in Downtown Fort Myers, just over the North Bridge.  You know the downtown/McGregor Area Publix? We share a parking lot with them!

We are the adorable cottage set between homes and across from Publix! You will see our sign in our front yard.

Please don’t use the front door! All are welcome to enter through the kitchen!

What are your hours?

To keep up with many of our clients needing outside of school and work, our counselors begin their days at 8am and end at 8pm, however, those early and late appointments go fast!

We work Monday through Thursday and all sessions are on the hour.

How long are sessions?

Our sessions are typically 50 minutes for most, with options for longer sessions for couples, families, and individuals if appropriate for your therapy goals. Sometimes our younger children need to work up to longer sessions, so we may start out with less and work toward full session times.

How much does it cost?

The monetary cost is one we can discuss as it depends on the level of therapist and their set rates.

There are other costs that go with counseling. Besides investing in yourself monetarily, you’re also investing  time into your growth! This includes the time in our office and ways in which you change in your daily life.

Some of our counselors accept a couple of commercial insurance plans. Please ask to know if insurance may be an option.

Do you take insurance, and why or why not?

This is probably our number one question.

Insurance often prevents you from getting the full therapy experience you deserve and doesn’t protect your information like self-pay clients do. For this reason, we offer many options as far as packages, individual sessions, and options to meet your needs to receive the therapy you want and need.

We’ve tried the insurance route in the past and realized it just isn’t the best plan for you or our clinicians. Let’s talk more about options that fit your needs! We do use a 3rd party biller for some Aetna, United, and Cigna plans.

How do I schedule?

Give us a call, or send us an email! We do not currently have office staff, so you’ll more than likely leave a message if you call, but we’ll get back to you as soon as you can!

We check calls and emails in between sessions and always return all communication within 48 hours, except during weekends and holidays.

What ages do you see?
We see most! We say we see 2 through 92!

Our clinicians each have different specialties and are able to serve the needs of our young toddlers all the way through life.

What happens in therapy?
What happens in therapy stays in therapy… wait that’s Vegas. Well, for us it does!

Everything you share with us is confidential. You can shout it from the rooftops, but we’re your safe space to share, process, plan, and move forward with life!

Therapy happens how you want it to. You’re in the driver’s seat, and we’re your GPS. Each session is about your goals and needs. We set goals together and guide you to achieve them. Our therapist firmly believe in experiential therapy and offer many options to bring the processing deeper through experiences!

What modalities do we use?
The quick answer is that there’s a whole page dedicated to this.

We offer lots of different options, all of which come back to the goal of client-centered. Our therapists are trained in many modalities with a focus in client centered experiential therapy.

What training does our team have?
We’re lifelong learners! Our team is always looking for new learning opportunities to grow their skillset and keep up with what is going on.

Our big focus in trainings are trauma and play therapy, along with animal assisted play therapy.

What kind of tissues do we provide?
There are tissues in all of our therapy rooms and the waiting room and often the brand changes, but if you have a special kind you would like us to have for you, just let us know!
Where do the dogs stay?
While many hope the dogs stay at the office, they’re our family pets that we lend to the office. They live with us in our homes!

They love coming to work with us and spending time with our clients. We try to limit no more than 2 at a time since they’re all on the large size.

They love to be outdoors and enjoying the Florida life when they aren’t at work. Each therapist has their own home, so the dogs live with their human co-therapist.

Is there really a rodent in the office?
Yes! Our resident hamster, Squirtle, lives at the office.

He has a two story hamster cage with lots of toys and treats. He gets to roll around in his ball often and spend time in sessions with clients.

Do we live here?

While we offer services in an old 1925 cottage house, sometimes it feels like it, but that’s because we love what we do!

No, we don’t live at the practice, but it’s our work home with our work family, and we welcome all our client visitors.

The welcome mat is always out. Our rooms are set up to feel comfy like you are home relaxing and able to be comfortable.

Can I bring my animals too?
We would love to see your animals… in pictures!

We know you love your animals, which makes them important to us. However, we can only allow the animals approved through our insurance in the office, so bring those photos to share with your favorite animals at home!
